How it works

- Add the call when you bookWhen you buy your ticket, we'll offer you the pre-event call for £15. Add it to your order and you're booked in.
- We'll get in touchWe'll message you on WhatsApp to agree a date and time that works for you before your event.
- Have your chatA friendly 20-minute call. Then you're all set for the night.

Can I buy the call on its own?
No. The call is an add-on to an event ticket and is linked to that specific event, so we can tailor it to the night you're going to. You'll be offered it when you book your ticket.
When will you contact me?
We'll message you on WhatsApp within 2 working days of your booking, using the mobile number you gave at checkout. If you haven't heard from us, check the number is right and email info@ratemydateni.com.
How close to my event can I add the call?
The call needs to happen before your event, so we recommend booking at least 3 days beforehand to give us time to arrange a slot.
If you book closer to the event and we can't arrange a call before it takes place, we'll refund the call in full.
Is it a voice or video call?
A WhatsApp voice call by default. If you'd prefer video, just say so when we arrange the time. The call lasts up to 20 minutes.
Can I change the time once it's booked?
Yes. Let us know at least 24 hours beforehand and we'll find another slot before your event, subject to availability.
If you miss the call without letting us know, we'll try once more to reach you. If we still can't, the call counts as used.
What happens to my call if my plans change?
Standard ticket: the call is linked to your event and expires when that event takes place, whether or not you've had it.
Premium ticket: if you move your booking to a future event using Ticket Protection before you've had your call, the call moves with you.
Ticket passed to someone else: if we approve your ticket going to another person, the call doesn't go with it. It can only be used by the person who bought it, and expires when the original event takes place.
We cancel your event: if you choose to move to another event, your call moves with you. If you choose a refund for your ticket, we'll refund the call too.
Can I get a refund?
Pre-event calls are non-refundable, except where we cancel your event or can't arrange your call before it takes place. In those cases, see the answers above.
Your purchase is fulfilled once the call has taken place, or once it counts as used after a missed call.
This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
Will the call get me more matches?
It's designed to help you feel prepared and relaxed, but we can't guarantee matches or any particular outcome. That's down to the night and the people you meet.
